Detroit Enterprise Academy is proud to have a strong and innovative PTO. The DEA PTO strives to support the academic component of DEA while simultaneously enhancing the social aspect of the school community.
PTO president, Geraldine Garrett, is constantly creating innovative and informative events. Examples of the PTO’s contributions to the school are:
- Reading Month celebrations
- Winter Carnival
- End-of-the-Year Picnic
- Back-to-School Rally
Elementary and middle school students look forward to each event PTO sponsors because the above mentioned events make this school a fun place to be!
Parents have access to numerous resources at Detroit Enterprise Academy. With our AtSchool Intranet portal, parents may access teacher’s grade books, attendance records and disciplinary notes, through any internet connection. Parents are welcome to sit in on class sessions, utilize our technological resources and assist with fundraising events held at the school. Our teachers cherish parental involvement and openly express gratitude to their classroom parents with in-class social events and social outings. There is a computer technology workshop held every year for parents to learn how to use computer resources effectively.
